About KONFIDENT.IO

HYKER KONFIDENT.IO is a web-based workspace for easy sharing of confidential documents in ad-hoc groups internal to an organization, or between organizations.

KONFIDENT.IO is fundamentally different than other file sharing solutions in that it uses file encryption to prevent information to ever leave end-point devices (end-user computers).

This approach is both user and policy/regulation friendly because an organization may use the cloud without exposing information to service providers, insiders, and attackers.

Workspace

A workspace is an area where colleagues and partners work in collaboration and share confidential documents.

A workspace is a top-level and long-term entity in which activity is measured and mapped to a billing plan. An organization may have multiple registered workspaces (e.g. one per department) but will need to have a different agreement for each one.

Team

A workspace contains a number of teams.

A team is of ephemeral nature and may be created and removed as the users see fit. E.g. A team may be set up for the lifespan of a project or during a customer process. All access control is based on the team as a group concept. A teammate shares a document with all trusted members of a team.

Teammate

A member of a team is called a teammate.

A teammate holds the authenticated identity of a user of the system.
